EQA Landmark commits to $160M Newbury Market mixed-use development

After working on various remediation issues for the past few years, EQA Landmark Communities on Thursday made official its plan to redevelop 305 acres of brownfield in the Pittsburgh suburb of South Fayette into a $160 million mixed-use development.
Called Newbury Market, the project is expected to include more than 875,000 square feet of retail and commercial space, 215 homes and 125 rental apartments on an industrial site owned by Beazer East Inc.

Onorato speaks to Harrisburg group

HARRISBURG -- If Allegheny County Chief Executive Dan Onorato hopes to run for governor in 2010, he'll need to make many stops along the Susquehanna River and points even farther east.
He got started on that mission yesterday as he was invited to speak at a monthly luncheon held by the Pennsylvania Press Club in the Harrisburg Hilton and Towers, attended by lobbyists, business groups, reporters and others who do business regularly with the governor and General Assembly.
